Exploration of textures

In this image I was attempting to capture the implied texture of the beads of water  in contrast to the ribs of the flower.

I felt that this image was really interesting because the implied textures seem to me to both be in and out of focus at the same time.

This image was an attempt to contrast the implied "puffy" texture of the clouds with the  waxy stalks of the flower.

Rule of 3rds

I thought that this image was interesting because it creates almost a layered effect  along the vertical  lines of the  quadrant system.
For this picture I was trying to align the top branch of the tree and the center of the flower. I felt like this was a good representation of the way light moves through a photograph according to the rule.  With the image being darkest in the lower left hand quadrant of the image and progressing diagonally through the quadrants.

In this image I was attempting to starkly contrast the light using the quadrant system. Making the focal point of the  image  be more about the sky and less about the flower that dominates the other quadrants.
